Children participating in the Sacred Heart of Jesus religious education/faith formation program begin preparing to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation in second grade, and Confirmation and First Holy Communion in third grade. They do this either through the curriculum at Sacred Heart of Jesus School or through the parish religious education program.

Registration is now open for the Sacred Heart of Jesus religious education program, which begins Monday, Sept. 9. Children are eligible to prepare for the sacrament of First Reconciliation beginning in the second grade; it is a prerequisite for receiving Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
Children are eligible to prepare for the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation in the third grade. Forms are in the back of the church and are due to the parish office Sept. 6. They must include a copy of the student’s Baptism certificate. For more information, please call the parish center.
