“The faithful, therefore, must learn the deepest meaning and the value of all creation, as well as its role in the harmonious praise of God. They must assist each other to live holier lives even in their daily occupations.”

Faith Formation

We strive to nurture the minds and hearts of the entire Catholic family so we can be prepared to live our lives as effective ambassadors of our faith.

At Sacred Heart of Jesus, we do not seek to merely prepare people to receive holy sacraments; we are compelled to engage every person with a desire to enrich his or her understanding of what it means to be part of the universal Catholic Church.

Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church as the compass that guides us to Him through our regular receiving of the Holy Eucharist as a communal, Eucharistic people.

We invite you to deepen your faith further by considering your participation in the following programs.

“’Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.’ And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” – Mk 10:13-16

Catholic Biblical School

Catholic Biblical School

The Denver Catholic Biblical School is offered online this year because of the pandemic.

The Denver Catholic Biblical School has assembled a first-rate team of experienced instructors with a deep love for Scripture and the Catholic faith. Through lectures, small-group discussions and weekly coursework, master instructors will guide you through the Bible and demonstrate the relevance of God’s Living Word in the world today.

The curriculum focuses on the “narrative approach” to sacred Scripture, which consists of a thorough study of salvation history in every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Participants see how God’s promises, prophesies and covenants of the Old Testament are fulfilled in the person and mission of Jesus Christ and his Church. At the end of this comprehensive four-year program, graduates are awarded a certificate in Biblical Studies.

Become Catholic

Becoming Catholic is one of life’s most profound and joyous experiences. Some are blessed to receive this great gift while they are infants, and over time, they recognize the enormous grace that has been bestowed on them. Others enter the Catholic fold when they are older children or adults.
